Emotron MSF 2.0 Series

Starting an electrical motor involves a number of challenges, such as high start currents and mechanical stress on equipment. This results in high energy, installation and maintenance costs.
While traditional softstarters handle the most common start challenges, Emotron MSF 2.0 offers a lot more. Start and stop sequences are optimized. Advanced braking techniques increase productivity. Built-in monitor functionality protects your process from inefficiency, damage and downtime. Easy installation and set-up save time and money. In addition, the Emotron MSF is developed for selected applications, which means optimized functionality adapted to your specific needs.
  • 3-phase torque control
    Torque Control function of MSF softstarter can completely eliminate the water-hammer affect at pumps by providing possible softest start and stop conditions with optimized timing especially for quadratical loads such as pump and fan. MSF 2.0 can start the ac motor with optimized timing and current which causes at the motor to be produced optimum torque for the loads-needs high starting torque such as crusher and ball mill.
  • Power Shaft Monitor:
    By this built-in load monitor function, motor losses are not considered in power calculation.Motor shaft power is sensitively measured and load curve is defined by the software. Thus, load which is driven by the motor is protected in any case. Unwanted working areas which causes unefficient working and damage are predefined by alarm and fault levels by the software. If the load reaches the predefined fault level, then the softstarter stops the motor. Unwated working conditions of the applications can be predefined such if a crusher is jammed, a pump running dry or a fan operating inefficiently due to a blocked filter. Any deviation from your selected load levels will result in a warning or a quick but smooth stop. You can rely on an efficient and reliable operation protected from damage and interruptions.
  • Low Speed-JOG Function (Forward-Reverse)
    Motor can work at maximum of the nominal speed in forward direction and %9 of the nominal speed in reverse direction. Jog process working time and the needed torque should be produced by motor during this period can be defined by the related parameters.
  • MSF can proceed 2 types brake modes :
    • 1-Dynamic Vector Brake : For Normal load (No need for contactor)
    • 2-Reverse Current Brake: For High inertia load

In both brake modes;MSF 2.0 activates DC brake mode during stop period after catching the motor speed. After motor stops or deceleration time has been completed, MSF shuts off the output voltage accordingly.
