Born in 1965, Mehmet Özpolat earned his high school degree at Istanbul Paşabahçe Ferit İnal High School and then continued his education in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Izmir Dokuz Eylül University, and then at the Economics Department of the same university. He is married and has two children. He started his career when he was a student in 1988 as the Bursa Regional Manager at Çiler Giyim. He was the Contractors Channel Officer at Demaş Kablo between 1993 and 1995, and General Coordinator at Sekoya Yapı between 1995 and 1997.

Mehmet Özpolat joined the Kontek family in 1997 and has made a significant contribution to the current state of the Istanbul organization. With the consolidation of Kontek companies in 2004, he continued his career as the Finance Director of Kontek Otomasyon A.Ş.. Mehmet Özpolat, later worked as the General Manager and Kontek Procurement Department Manager at Tekkon, one of the subsidiaries of the Company,  and has been serving as general coordinator since 2018. Mehmet Özpolat, has shared his experience with all the teams since he started his career, and continues his work as a member of the Executive Board responsible for Energy Efficiency and Drives Sales-Finance Coordination, After-Sales Service, and Administrative Affairs of the Marmara Region in Kontek Energy, which has been operating in the industry for more than 25 years.
