Kontek undertook the project implementation of the Geçitköy Pumping Station, the most important station on this strategically critical water transmission line from Türkiye to Cyprus. The project scope included the expansion of irrigation water lines in addition to the existing drinking-water pumps. Pumps equipped with medium-voltage frequency converters enabled irrigation in Cyprus to be carried out at the highest efficiency. Kontek completed the design, supply, software and engineering, site installation and commissioning of all medium- and low-voltage systems, as well as the SCADA, PLC and automation systems.
